Section B (For broadcasters electing Option Two)

On its analog channel, and its primary digital stream, a station must run an average of 16 transition-related PSAs and 16 transition-related crawls, snipes, and/or tickers per week in each quarter, all between the hours of 5 a.m. and 1 a.m. It must also run one 30 minute DTV-related informational program once, and one 100-Day Countdown piece per day for the 100 days prior to the conclusion of the transition. Comment boxes MUST be used to describe these compliant activities (See rules for additional details).

WE HAVE RUN A TOTAL OF 265 PSA'S AND 270 CST'S FROM 1/1/09 THROUGH 3/31/09. WE SCHEDULE 20 PER WEEK OF BOTH PSA'S AND CST'S WITH THE ADDITIONAL PSAS AND CSTS DURING SYNDICATED PROGRAMMING AND ABC PROGRAMMING. OUR PSA AND CST TOTALS EXCEED THE REQUIRED MINIMUM.

COLLABORATION WITH ALL STATIONS ON 1/17/09 FROM 10AM-4PM AT THE BATTLEFIELD MALL IN SPRINGFIELD, MO. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE STOPPED BY THE BOOTH AREA. ON HAND WAS OUR GENERAL MANAGER, CHIEF ENGINEER AND TWO OTHER ENGINEERS. QUESTIONS WERE ANSWERED AND DEMONSTRATIONS ON CONVERTOR BOXES WERE EXPLAINED. WE ALSO MANNED A PHONE BANK WITH THE OTHER SPRINGFIELD DMA STATION ON FEBRUARY 5TH FROM 7-9PM - HOSTED BY THE PBS STATION.

WITH THE ANALOG SHUTOFF OF KSPR ON THE NIGHT OF THE 17TH OF FEBRUARY - EXTRA NEWS COVERAGE BLANKETED THE AIR LEADING UP TO THIS DATE. EXTRA STAFF WAS ON HAND TO COVER THE PHONE THE DAY BEFORE AND THE DAY AFTER THE SHUT OFF.
